Lizz Bennett (She/Her) DIP, MA, BA (Hons)

I qualified at the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy in Newcastle. Working Psychotherapeutically means exploring how your past has shaped your present, we would build insight and awareness about your patterns of thinking, doing and being, and consider what might be holding you back.I offer a warm, relational space where you can feel heard, supported and seen, just as you are.  Being trained to work at depth, means I can support you to identify the different parts of self, and how they may be at conflict with each other, keeping you stuck.

As an integrative therapist I work creatively,  utilising a range of therapeutic approaches tailoring our work to meet your unique needs, including:

  • Psychodynamic (focus on how the past has shaped your present)
  • Transactional Analysis
  • Attachment Theory
  • Sand Tray Therapy
  • Gestalt
  • Mindfulness and body based modalities.

My professional and academic background in the Youth & Community sector, has shaped my practice emphasizing strong relationships, safety, and trauma-informed care. I have supported diverse communities, including those affected by trauma, exploitation, abuse, and discrimination. As a dedicated ally to marginalized groups, I have pursued specialist training in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients, maintaining an intersectional perspective on systemic barriers.
